This work explores the history and importance of gay spaces and what it means to be queer and live in modern day Texas.
The show gets it’s title from a Queer venue that existed in San Antonio in the late 70s started and opened by Hap Veltman. Hap was a businessman/entrepreneur who played a major role in also establishing some of the major San Antonio Tourist spots such as the Riverwalk.
The show is also an effort to celebrate queer latin/mexican americans and subvert the macho stereotypes.
